Second TMNT Trailer Released And It Reveals ALL Four Ninja Turtles!

Today the second theatrical trailer was released for the new live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie. The trailer gives fans a first glimpse at all four turtles and they all have their own style but are completely computer generated unlike the original live action films from the 90s.

The new trailer is just a recut of the first one with not much more revealed other than the turtles that were missing. In any event I am eager to see more but skeptical to say the least. Enjoy!

Bakers rejoice Star Wars inspired measuring cups are here!

11be_sw_r2d2_measuring_cup_setThinkGeek.com has recently debuted an R2D2 shaped stack of measuring cups/spoons for the Star Wars Fan who loves to bake! I already have cookie cutters and mixing bowls but this new set is going to give my kitchen more galactic appeal!

This set of R2-D2 Measuring Cups disassembles into 4 measuring cups plus 4 measuring spoons and reassembles in a snap. Each has its measurement written inside so you can’t forget what they are and handles on the back that don’t distract from R2’s aesthetic.

The set costs $19.99 US and is BPA free but not microwave or dishwasher safe so be warned. I have already added it to my list of things I am going to buy now and my little padawans are going to love it, but probably not as much as me.

Check out the set in action:

NEW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie Trailer Released!! #TMNT

Finally we get a glimpse at the new TMNT live action movie and I have to say it sort of excited me. Despite the fact that Megan Fox evokes nothing of April O’Neal the animation looks awesome and the movie actually looks like it will be filled with a decent story plot and lots of actions coupled with the campy humor of our beloved turtles.

Michael Bay is known for his love of explosions and over the top effects and has never disappointed in that arena. I will be going to see this film when it comes out despite Megan Fox’s mis-casting. Nothing will replace the old films of my youth but this new series looks like something I could enjoy!

DIY Star Wars Wampa Head Wall Art Tutorial From Our Nerd Home!

Taxidermy can be beautiful at time, but its mostly pretty damn creepy. For me the thought of having an animal’s stuffed head in my living room looking down on me as I breast feed is a bit much. This was a sentiment I carried until I saw this DIY Wampa Head Taxidermy from Our Nerd Home!

This fairly easy project is a nice compromise because the Wampa head is obviously fake, but the geek appeal is through the roof. Now I just have to convince my husband to let me put it in his man cave. Wish me luck!

In the new expansion pack players will have a chance to purchase their own “strongholds”  on their home planet or Nar Shaddaa for credits or cartel points. Then you can customize your new pad with specialty items from the cartel market or craft them using new crew skills. There will also be new PVP awards that can contribute to your home decor such as display trophies, state of the art furniture and other unique decorations.

Another new in game option launched with this expansion will be Guild Flagships. Now you can rally your fellow #starwarshomies aboard your Guild’s own personal flagship and join the rest of your faction’s starship fleet. Your friends will also be able to visit your personal stronghold so you can show off your collection of battle trophies or throw a wild cantina styled party.

As you build up your stronghold you will also increase your new Prestige Score with each decoration you add to your stronghold. This score will give you top ranking on the new Public Stronghold Directory and help you make name for your self among the galaxy’s elite.

I am crazy excited for this new expansion pack and can’t wait to see what this does for RP player interactions…oh the story lines! I’ll see you at my Stronghold Warming Party, its being held in a galaxy far far away!

Screw March Madness! Try the “This is Madness” StarWars.com Character Tournament Bracket Instead!

If your partner is anything like mine he is already knee deep in March Madness. Talks about brackets and teams make my head hurt. Instead of tuning him out this year I am turning to Starwars.com’s “This is Madness” Tournament to partake in my own bracketeering!

“This is Madness” is a bracket-style tournament featuring characters from the Star Wars universe. The creator is Lucasfilm’s Manager of Digital Content and Community Relations, Matt Martin. Who handpicked the characters on each side, naturally the light side and dark side. The voting has just begun but the competition is fierce with Darth Vader already *ahem* encouraging participants to vote for him in this video created by Lucasfilms.

Matches are determined by online voters, this is the second year it has posted and fans absolutely love it.
